Steering the grails web challenge team has taken up quite a bit of time over the past few weeks. Hence the lack of posts and what not, but here’s some linkage for ya’ll. Wish us luck! and follow us on twitter. We may be posting during the evening and wee hours asking for grails advise throughout and leading up to the contest.
linkage:
The groovy goolies tean on twitter the night of the web challenge. use hashtag #webchallenge or #groovygoolies or @groovygoolies if you have specific answers/questions. we need your help!
dzone: how to choose from multiple job offers?
footnote: To those new to “link droppings” they’re just random links to topics of conversation (a.k.a. watercooler talk) that happen over chat, at work or over twitter. mainly so that the hawe$ome $oftware developers can have a digest of what we were thinking and when?
sidenote: We’re thinking of changing our collective name again (from hawe$oft to ?) and we have good to pretty good ideas but if you’ve got something spectacular and don’t mind parting with it. Suggestions are always welcome.

- Introducing AOP
- Creating classic Spring aspects
- Autoproxying
commentary: We’re skipping the 2nd half of chapter 3 since it states it the 1st paragraph that you can skip the whole of chapter 3 and use it as a reference later if one of the situations comes up. We moved this back a week because of some conflicts.
